“Wait mom, my crown fell off…”
It’s amazing how much that simple sentence from my 5 year old daughter made me think.
It’s easy to know you are loved by God in the happy times. But, in those moments when things get crazy, our priorities, beliefs and identity can be challenged greatly and it’s more important that ever to know who God made us to be.
In an innocent moment, when my daughter was playing around the house, she reminded me of this very important truth and I’d love to remind you of this today. Women, I’m talking to you.
God wants us to know and accept the truth that we were created by Him and for Him. We are heirs in the kingdom of God (Romans 8:17) We are daughters of the Most High God. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14) Mightier than the waves of the sea is His love for us. (Psalm 93:4)
Sometimes I can be negative about myself, rather than acknowledging areas of growth and letting God help me become better, and still knowing my worth along the journey.
“How many times have I been guilty of letting my crown fall off? I thought…”
Let’s get back to Remembering WHO we are, and WHO’S we are no matter what!
Maybe your crown has fallen completely off and you don’t see how negative you are about yourself, or maybe it just needs a little adjusting….
Either way, we all have room to grow everyday!
So go ahead… pick up that crown, close your eyes, and put it back on your pretty little head. It belongs there.
